Juju Alishina offers a balanced and harmonious approach to the Butoh movement in all these forms. Considered a key figure in the third generation of Butoh, she assimilates several styles and since 1982 has developed a personal style by working with respect for the body. She built her method from her deep and varied research into Asian dance forms and from her own authentic and living experience of the danced body.
Accessible to everyone, beginners as well as experienced, dancers of all ages, his method offers not only a creative approach to dance movement, but also an introduction to the aesthetics and philosophy of Butoh as a means of expression and release.
Juju Alishina invites readers to carry out work based on simulation and proactivity, thus leading them to think, imagine, invent and create through at least a thousand hours of enriching learning. The artists for their part, can find in this method material to create their own axis of construction and consolidation in their discipline.
Very popular in Japan, the United States and Europe, the Alishina Method has already brought together thousands of students.
